Biography

Cristina Mihale-Wilson is post-doctoral researcher at the Chair of Information Systems and Information Management at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. Her research focuses on AI and Digital Ecosystems' economic and social aspects and potentials. She is researching the design of economically viable Digital Ecosystems and AI-based systems in 2016. Since then, she has researched these topics in various projects sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action. Her cumulative dissertation, which addresses the opportunities and challenges of technology adoption and use, was awarded the Schmalenbach-Prize 2022. The Schmalenbach Prize is awarded annually by the Schmalenbach Foundation for outstanding scientific work that is application-oriented, theoretically and empirically sound, and represents scientific progress in the service of business practice.
Currently, she is conducting research in the interdisciplinary project SECAI, which aims at developing a digital ecosystem for sustainable heating using Edge-Cloud-based AI systems.
