Biography

Nora Jansen studied Management of Information Systems (Wirtschaftsinformatik) at the Technische Universität Darmstadt. The focus of her studies was on the field of "Operations and Supply Chain Management". During her studies she spent one year abroad at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. In September 2015 she finished her studies by obtaining the Master of Science degree. She wrote her Master thesis "Opportunities and limits of applying web-based channels of communication by authorities for the interaction with society" in cooperation with the German Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt).

 

Since October 2015, Nora Jansen has been a research assistant at the professorship of Prof. Dr. Oliver Hinz. First at the Chair of Information Systems | Electronic Markets at TU Darmstadt and since September 2017 at the Chair of Information Systems and Information Management at Goethe University. Her research project deals with the real-time detection of buzzes in online social networks.

Since January 2019, Nora Jansen is a visiting researcher at the University of Adelaide, South Australia.
