Cristina Mihale-Wilson ist ist Post-Doc am Lehrstuhl für Wirtschaftsinformatik und Informationsmanagement an der Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt am Main. Ihre Forschung konzentriert sich auf die wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Aspekte und Potenziale von KI und Digitalen Ökosystemen. Seit 2016 erforscht sie die Gestaltung von wirtschaftlich tragfähigen Digitalen Ökosystemen und KI-basierten Systemen. Seitdem hat sie in verschiedenen vom Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz geförderten Projekten zu diesen Themen geforscht. Ihre kumulative Dissertation, die sich mit den Chancen und Herausforderungen der Technologieeinführung und -nutzung beschäftigt, wurde mit dem Schmalenbach-Preis 2022 ausgezeichnet. Der Schmalenbach-Preis wird jährlich von der Schmalenbach-Stiftung für herausragende wissenschaftliche Arbeiten verliehen, die anwendungsorientiert, theoretisch und empirisch fundiert sind und wissenschaftlichen Fortschritt im Dienste der unternehmerischen Praxis darstellen.
Derzeit forscht sie im interdisziplinären Projekt SECAI, das die Entwicklung eines digitalen Ökosystems für nachhaltiges Heizen mit Hilfe von Edge-Cloud-basierten KI-Systemen zum Ziel hat.
