Zevedi project group "AI and Finance - Innovation, Resilience and Responsibility"

We are part of the project group "AI and Finance - Innovation, Resilience and Responsibility" of the Center for Responsible Digitalization (ZEVEDI).

Artificial intelligence is one of the central drivers of the modern financial sector. The enormous breadth of AI applications is demonstrated by buzzwords such as FinTech, RegTech, Big Data, digital central bank money (CBDC) or algorithm-based credit scoring. Admittedly, the development of a normative regulatory framework for banks, customers, supervisors and central banks is still in its infancy. Due to the diversity and complex interaction of financial market actors, standard setters face particular challenges in this process. The project group will contribute to the development of a tailored regulatory design for three regulatory areas:
AI credit scoring, AI investor profiling, and CBDC and supervision.

The Center for Responsible Digitalization (ZEVEDI) is a research and competence network. It bundles the scientific expertise of Hessian universities to analyze the normative dimensions of digital transformation and contributes to shaping this transformation.

The center concretizes responsibility as an important aspect of technology development and works to make it feasible. It provides research services, strengthens the transfer of knowledge into business and society, and provides research-based advice to policymakers on the topic - for a democratic and humane orientation of the digital transformation.

The center was founded in November 2019 and is funded by the Hessian Minister for Digital Strategy and Developmen
