Biography

Aaron Witzki studied Business Management and Economics (B.Sc.) at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and completed his Bachelor's degree in 2020. In his bachelor's thesis titled "The influence of platform business models on transaction costs", he dealt intensively with the business model of the platform ecosystem and its effects.

 

In his subsequent Master's degree in Information Systems (M. Sc.), he focused on business software and data analytics, with a particular focus on machine learning. During his master's degree, Mr. Witzki spent a semester abroad at the Université de Poitiers. In his master's thesis entitled "Explainability in Predictive Process Analytics: An analysis of the influence on decision making", he dealt with eXplainable AI and its impact on the end user.

 

Parallel to his studies, Aaron Witzki was able to gain practical experience in the field of digital transformation and process management. For his special achievements, he was included in the "Schaeffler Top Students Program" of Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG.

 

Aaron Witzki has been working as a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Chair of Information Systems and Information Management of Prof. Dr. Oliver Hinz since June 2024.
