Biography

Anjana Cordes studied Business and Economics with a focus on management at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. She previously spent a semester at the Morningside College in America, where she focused on Mathematics and Computer Science.

As part of her bachelor's seminar, she studied the digital transformation and standardization capabilities of the Internet of Things. Her bachelor thesis covered the topic of energy data disaggregation based on Machine Learning and explored different implementations of Non-Intrusive Load-Monitoring.

In September 2022, Anjana Cordes completed her master's degree in Information Systems (M. Sc.). She wrote her master's thesis on "Predictive Maintenance in a Smart Home setting: Generating a failure dataset". The master’s thesis dealt with the generation of a synthetic dataset and also investigated the extent to which Predictive Maintenance can be applied in the Smart Home setting.

Parallel to her studies, she worked at the chair of Prof. Dr. Oliver Hinz since December 2018. During this time, she supported the FORESIGHT project among others.

Since October 2022, Anjana Cordes has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Business Informatics and Information Management of Prof. Dr. Oliver Hinz.
