Biography

Domenic Kellner studied Economics (M.Sc) at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics / University Pompeu Fabra (UPF). His main areas of study were Econometrics and Data Science after completing modules dedicated to machine learning, time series econometrics, causal inference and big data analytics. In his Master thesis he examined the connectedness of the largest European firms by using a LASSO-based algorithm to identify Granger-causality linkages.

Prior to his master’s degree, he completed his bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics (B.Sc.) at the Goethe University in Frankfurt. Next to his studies and after finishing the master’s degree he has gained practical experience as a Data Scientist working for the European Central Bank and HSBC. His core areas of work were Data Analytics and Big Data-Mining.

Since March 2020, Domenic Kellner is a doctoral student at the professorship of Prof. Dr. Oliver Hinz at the Chair of Information Systems and Information Management at Goethe University.
