Jörg Gottschlich studied Business Information Systems (Wirtschaftsinformatik) at the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg, with a focus on Systems Development And Database Applications and information Systems In Service Industries as well as International Management during an exchange stay at the Syddansk Universitet, Odense, Denmark. In his diploma thesis, entitled "Continuous Improvement of Data Mining by Automatic Analysis of Customer Reactions," he developed a recommendation system for cross-selling offers at Cortal Consors that uses client reactions to continuously and automatically improve recommendations.
After graduation, he worked at the top management consultancy AT Kearney where he gained extensive practical experience in strategic consulting projects at home and abroad. He conducted complex quantitative analysis in the Financial and Consumer Goods industries (among others) to support strategic decisions.
Since August 2011, Jörg Gottschlich is a research assistant at the Department of Information science, in particular, Electronic Markets. Here he wants to further develop his expertise in the areas of interest and contribute to research from a practical perspective.
